About

SPECTRUM is an organization with the mission to advocate for and support the needs of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual (LGBTQIA+) community at Durham Tech. SPECTRUM provides a framework for support and a place to share common concerns and experiences. It is a social club that serves as a place for the LGBTQIA+ community to get to know one another while discussing topics and sharing perspectives, playing games, watching videos, doing volunteer work/community service, creating crafts, and joining the larger LGBTQIA+ community and allies for events like NC Pride.SPECTRUM seeks to raise awareness through educational advocacy and community involvement while working to dismantle oppression based on sexual orientation, gender identity, and relational style in all its forms.FALL 2023 MEETINGS
